I run Windows 7, 64 Bit Home as operating System, with 8GB RAM, 4 CPU's, no GPU, NIVIDIA GeForce 210 Graphics Card, multiple built-in 2TB 7200 rpm Hard Drives and an ICY Dock Station with 4 other 2TB hard Drives connected via USB2. None of the Drives are RAID I have installed the latest updates to CS5.03. I am working on a Full HD project and the sourse files are .MXF files - 25 f/sec.
I have no third party effects loaded.
The error occurs mostly shortly after the project was opened and I start scrubbing the timeline or playing the timeline. This happens about 3 times a day after which Premiere shuts down.
I have a number of other software packages loaded like Adobe Photoshop Elements 9, Encore CS5, Canon XF Utility, Digital Photo Professional, Fuji Film Digital Printing, Skype, VCL Player, I-Tunes, Canon Printers, Google Chrome, AVG, etc.
I hope to hear from you shortly.
Some people reported the problem having something to do with titles but they were on a Mac.
If you eliminate the titles by hiding the track they are on, does it help?
I have not even started with titles yet.
Flush your cache, delete any preview files, and if that doesn't help. trash your preferences.
Launch Premiere Pro from a shortcut and press the Shift+Alt keys. Keep them pressed until you see the Welcome screen. Then set all of your preferences again. There should not be that many that you have changed anyway. You will lose your list of previously opened projects, but that should not cause most people a problem.
