1. Re: Question on replacing background image.
Ned Murphy Aug 28, 2013 1:59 PM (in response to phonzs)How is the background image implemented? Is it manually planted in the timeline or is code used to place it on stage?
If the image is manually placed on the stage, then manually place your image in place of it on the stage.

2. Re: Question on replacing background image.
phonzs Aug 28, 2013 2:26 PM (in response to Ned Murphy)I do know, there is no folder for that image, except gallery images which is not in there either, The orginal image is not at all in the Site folder, the homepage background image is only in Flash library. But, I replaced the image for the homepage but the brower is still reading the ogrinal image not mine.
Below is a sample view where I circled my image which I already replaced the orginal photo. I image shows up in the works but not in the brower.

3. Re: Question on replacing background image.
Ned Murphy Aug 28, 2013 4:51 PM (in response to phonzs)Just placing the image in the library and naming it the same is not going to replace the original image, so you will have to place that image as a background image. Chances are it was located on the bottom layer of some timeline, possibly the one you are showing in the screenshot(?).
If you removed the image from the fla, you should not be able to see the image in the file when you test it in Flash. If you see it when you test on a server you probably need to clear out your cache to get rid of the earlier version.

4. Re: Question on replacing background image.
phonzs Aug 28, 2013 5:40 PM (in response to Ned Murphy)So you saying my new image place it as a background image? would it work if I rename it? because everything in that working document in the layers or library it shows my image visually. Sorry, but what do I need to do.
thanks,

5. Re: Question on replacing background image.
Ned Murphy Aug 28, 2013 6:58 PM (in response to phonzs)Renaming it in the library should not have any effect since the name used in the library is just for identification/housekeeping purposes.
Yes, you should place that image as the background on the stage if that is what you intend it to be. If it is replacing some original image, it should replace where that original image was in the timeline. If you only removed the original image from the library then you will need to find where it lived in the timeline.
Since you say your only problem is that you still see the old image when you view the file in a browser, have you published a new swf file since removing the original image? If you still have the original swf in the folder that the html page looks to for the swf, then it will use the original version. You need to publish a new swf and replace the original swf file with it.
