I am running windows 7 and firefox and when i try to install flash player 11 i get a metafile download fail

and now it tells me to close firefox to resume down load and it never dose I also tried windows internet explore and the same thing happened?

If you right click either of those links and "Save as", there WILL BE NO PROMPT to close your browser, because your ARE NOT running the installer - you're simply downloading it.

After you've "Saved" the file(s), reboot your system. That way NOTHING will be running but Windows. THEN - before you open anything else, go to your downloads folder and double click either (or both) of the installer files. They will install "offline" with no browser, no additional downloads, no connection required.
