1. Re: Why does my projector say it needs shockwave 12 to run?
SeanWilson Aug 28, 2013 9:26 PM (in response to serialGardener)There is a dependent library missing from your projector bundle. You will probably need to compare the contents of a Shockwave 12 installation with the contents of your projector to figure out what's missing

2. Re: Why does my projector say it needs shockwave 12 to run?
serialGardener Aug 29, 2013 10:01 AM (in response to SeanWilson)I've learned since my last post that this error only occurs on Macs running Leopard or earlier - it works fine in Lion and Mtn Lion, and works fine in Windows XP, 7 and 8. I can't imagine that there would be something missing in the projector when it works fine in all these other operating systems?

3. Re: Why does my projector say it needs shockwave 12 to run?
SeanWilson Aug 29, 2013 1:53 PM (in response to serialGardener)To be fair, you aren't running the same projector on Win XP, 7 and 8 as you are on Leopard, Lion and Mountain Lion. What do the Direcotr 12 release notes say about MacOS compatibility?

4. Re: Why does my projector say it needs shockwave 12 to run?
serialGardener Aug 29, 2013 2:15 PM (in response to SeanWilson)I haven't been able to find the Director 12 release notes. A search on the adobe site only includes release notes up to 11.5. Do you know where to find them?

7. Re: Why does my projector say it needs shockwave 12 to run?
Albatros22 Sep 9, 2013 10:33 PM (in response to SeanWilson)Don't know if this relates: In windows you need to set the publishing - settings in the projector tab to "standard". If they are set to "shockwave", the projector runs only on systems where shockwave is installed. Run over this by accident few weeks ago.

8. Re: Why does my projector say it needs shockwave 12 to run?
SeanWilson Sep 10, 2013 1:39 AM (in response to Albatros22)No, you don't. You can publish a Shockwave projector and provide libraries and xtras beside the projector (or in a folder named 'xtras') and there is an advantage in doing so - these libraries don't have to be extracted from the projector into the temp directory prior to launching. Your projector will start faster.
