So I just learned the cause of my bolding font when viewing my resume in Adobe Reader was the Enhance Thin Line "feature". But all cases I've read are about just a couple of letters being bolded, my whole document is being bolded! When I turn off enhance thin line it looks as it should but if someone does not have that feature off or views it in a web browser they well see the bold lines, how the heck do I resolve this? I've tried several things like changing the font and increasing character size but no matter what it still applies it both in the reader application and in web browsers, Doesn't matter if its an installed font or Times New Roman it still happens.
Please any help?
Thin Lines off
Maybe you inadvertently applied a stroke to your text in InDesign. If the stroke has any color, InDesign will outline the text even if the stroke width is set to zero.
To test a sample, select any bolded word with the text tool, open the Swatches panel and check wheter there is any color applied to the stroke. If there is, change it to None.
Hey that was it! I went to the swatches tool but couldn't see how to set stroke to None but looked in the top toolbar and found it. For those having a similiar problem you can see it in the attached picture underneath the bolded T in the middle right, just set that to 'None'.
