How about giving relevant information (OS, file specifics like color mode etc., GPU, …)?
And a screenshot might be helpful.
Im using windows7
my asus laptop has a Display = Intel HD Graphics 4000
I dont know if that info will be enough.
What Color Mode and bit depth is the image?
That looks like your video card isn't working, or doesn't meet the minimum requirements.
Check in Help -> System Info.
Your post helped me figure out how to get this going!
For some reason, 3d doesn't work in CMYK which was the color mode I was working in.
Switched it to RGB and was able to begin working with the 3d text.
Thanks for posting : )
I was going insane trying to enable the 3D feature. Everything I tried did not work and all options for 3D remained grayed out. Through trial and error I figured it had something to do with my graphics card. I'll spare you everything I tried before FINDING THE FIX!
Here it is: (I have a built in graphics card, so I don't know exactly where to tell you to find yours, but here is what I did to fix the issue for me):
Bottom Line: Basically, if you have a different graphics card, than mine (build into HP Pavilion) all you'd need to do is associate the application you want with the Graphics Card, by way of creating or selecting a profile.
Steps:I right clicked on my desktop and a menu box popped up showing: VIEW, SORT BY, REFRESH, Paste, Paste Shortcut, Graphics Properties, Graphics Options, New, Screen Resolution and Personalize. I clicked on Graphics Properties. The Graphics Control Panel popped open and I had 5 options (Display, 3D, Profiles, Video and Options and Support). I clicked on Profiles. I had 2 options: Select Profile and Select Trigger. The Select Trigger was set to NONE (the other 2 options were Application and Time). I clicked on Application and a whole list of Applications appeared on the right. I looked for Photoshop, Clicked it and was prompted to name the Profile. I called it 3D Photoshop, just so I know which to select later. I clicked SAVE and BAM! Problem Solved. Everything that was grey out is not clickable!
