You have plenty of vram for PPro to work... IF you have an up to date driver
You need to go to the ATI/AMD site and check the driver for your model card
What you MAY not have is enough vram to use hardware acceleration... I say may, because hardware acceleration for ATI cards is new to CC, and I am on Windows CS5 with an nVidia card

Thanks for the info John.
My driver for my ATI Radeon HD 4870 512 is update. It automatically gets updated when I do a mac software update. Some of the other forums I have been on say I need 1gb vram, when I go to about this mac. It says in Graphics/Display that I only have 512mb. So I guess I need to upgrade my graphics?
Sorry... can't help with Mac specifics... in the Windows world, a graphics adapter will work with less than 1Gig of vram, it just will not do hardware video acceleration
If your reading says that a Mac card "must" have 1gig of vram, I have no way to counter that information
