    Security sandbox violation

"Error #2048: Security sandbox violation: cannot load data from"

I'm getting this error, and it doesn't make sense to me because the server I'm connecting to and the host of the application are the same domain, which means they are in the same security sandbox.

This error also occurs when I use a domain name instead of an ip address (i.e. 'mydomain.dnsalias.org').

What's even more confusing is that when I open the application locally (i.e. file://...path.../SimpleClientRunner.swf) it connects to the server without an error and I can pass messages & get responses just fine.

I have read through information about loading a crossdomain.xml file and have done this, but it hasn't fixed the problem (and since the app & server are on the same domain, shouldn't matter anyways, as is my understanding).

I'm out of ideas, anyone know what's going on?
