    Displaying Items as Sold?

      How do you contiue to display an item that is sold as sold, but you don't want customers to be able to reorder the item?  Is there a way to preserve a link to the item for SEO without having it appear as available in the catalog?

      Is there a way to automatically move the sold item into a new catalog? Or will that cause the link to be broken anyway?

          Hi Jef,

          You do not do that and you cant do that in BC automatically no.

          Unless you tick to hide when out of stock the item will show when in stock and unless you set the on order up on a product if you try and buy a product that is out of stock the error popup will show informing the user of such.

           

          To have a nice look and feel to show something is out of stock is entirely up to you. if you show the stock value people can see it zero. With that same tag if you add it as a class on the parent element then you can render the styles, but we have talked about that in another thread of yours.
