I just worked with a printer who made some text changes to my Indesign doc (CS6).
They returned the doc to me.
When I tried opening it I received the attached message.
Can someone explain this and what could happen if I do open the file?
Most importantly, how do I correct this?
(I'm on a mac, if that makes a difference)
Say OK to open the file, then export to .idml to remove the plugin info. Open that and save as .indd.
Thanks. Doing this won't alter my file at all?
Alter the file? Yes, it's going to remove the plugin information for the plugin installled on the printer's computer but not yours. It shouldn't do any damage, though. If you're worried, make a copy and use that.
