I'm on Windows 7 and I'm trying to connect to Adobe Inspect
I can see all external sites (Google, Adobe, etc.) on my iPhone/iPad, but not my local ones (in IIS)
My local sites are all Virtual Host (or the equivalent in IIS), like http://mysite, http://myothersite, etc., with "hosts" and I can see them in Chrome and other browsers (of course I adapted "hosts" file)
I get an "An error occurred. Web page not available", but the most strange thing is that IP address located on Inspect (192.168.89.1) is wrong!
It's an IP coming from virtual network adapter created by VMware Workstation, not the IP setted on my real PC (192.168.1.20)
Any solution to make all this work?
I need to verify this scenario to make sure that we actually support it. We are sure that locally hosted web pages can be accessed by Edge Inspect and also Edge Inspect can also access virtual host sites as well if you make use of xip.io or Charles Proxy
Please try connecting the devices by entering real PC IP in Device Clients.
Also, please see this thread for more information.
I configured IIS (bindings) and "hosts" file also for working with xip.io
I can see my site on Chrome at http://mysite.192.168.1.20.xip.io
Still nothing happens on Inspect, and Chrome Extension still shows "WEBMASTER 192.168.89.1", the wrong address
I also entered the real IP address of my server machine, 192.168.1.20, on iPhone Inspect
Please notice that, on Chrome and every other site, if I switch tabs I can see a realtime change on iPhone: but not for my local sites
