Szalam Sep 9, 2013 7:27 AM (in response to Nick Spiropoulos)You haven't shared your computer specs or exact AE version (11.0.1? 9.0.2? 12.0.0?)
Have you updated anything recently?

2. Re: Quicktime i/o errors
Nick Spiropoulos Sep 9, 2013 7:32 AM (in response to Szalam)Mac OS 10.8.4
MacPro 5,1
64 GB Ram
Adobe CC (up to date)
NVIDIA k5000
eSATA card with two G-RAIDs
No changes to system. I tried removing older QT components from the Library. Didn't help. Ran Disk Warrior on drives, repaired permissions on OS Drive. Tried full power off and reboot. The outputs I'm doing today are taking raw RED R3D files from 5k to 3k and storing them in ProRes 444 file for faster performance during compositing. I did the same thing weeks ago, but those files are not being read, so I'm recreating them.

6. Re: Quicktime i/o errors
Nick Spiropoulos Sep 9, 2013 10:01 AM (in response to Nick Spiropoulos)The Adobe QT32 Server and CrashDaemon processes are causing my issues. I sometimes have to close AE and quit these two background processes in the Activity Monitor to get AE to work with QT files.

You need to get rid of the DVCPROHDVideoOutput QuickTime component.
