I have a large catalog file open. I'm trying to start new Paragraph Styles or modify old ones. The file is forcing a font I do not want....and it is forcing it in ALL existing styles.
when i check the style [see screen shots attached] it shows the correct font [KREON]. but when i try to apply the style it forces the wrong font [BILLY].
I've researched online and found that it may be a template issue....but i don't think the file is using a template. How can you check to see if you file is using a template file? I'm not sure.
Also, when i start a new file [testing] the Paragraph Styles work fine....but if I copy and place text from this file, it corrupts them again and forces BILLY. so so so strange.
i have even turned the font off in font book but somehow, it's still on ~ does this mean it somehow got into my system fonts? it's not at all a standard font.
i'm an advanced user in InDesign...not a master....so any help would be great.
i'm on a mac, indesign 6, 8.0.1
Be sure there is not a character style using Billy font applied.
omg....that was it.
maybe i shouldn't consider myself a 'master' user ~ maybe more like "she thinks she's all that but she ain't" user.
thank you thank you thank you.
I had the same problem with a character style over-riding the paragraph style. Thanks darilyn for posting the question and thanks jm for posting the answer!
