Do you have Soundflower installed? If so, try uninstalling it.
When you get continuous or random crashes, trashing your preferences often helps. Launch Premiere Pro from a shortcut, and then quickly press the Shift+Opt keys. Keep them pressed until the Welcome screen appears.
Another thing you can try is to create a new project, then go to Edit>Preferences>Media and press the Clean button. That will clean out any leftover cache files and entries in the cache database that aren't used anymore.
I have the same problem and the above solutions do not work.
Trying to drag clips into the Source view or the timeline give me the "serious error" message. It's worked before, but lately the crashing has been terrible.
Here's the error
Well I just rebooted my Mac and everything seems to work now.
I'm having the same problem. Last week I upgraded to CC and now I'm having to reboot my system about 10 times a day.
I thought maybe the problem was with my AJA Kona LHi card. AJA walked me through the settings and my card is perfectly fine -- it works fine with FCP and CS6. The problem must be CC.
iam back to premiere CS6, ths problem is only in premiere CC ?
iam having a serious problem continous crashes on mac pro cylinder my mpremiere creative cloud seems to be not compatible ,any help?
Please start a new thread, bouzaidiy, providing as much information as possible about your computer, the exact version of Premiere you have, your project/sequence(s)/content, and what you're doing when Premiere crashes. Also include crash reports and error messages. This page recommends other good data to provide: FAQ: What information should I provide when asking a question on this forum?
But first, try searching the forum for something specific, such as keywords in the error message (if it's not just the generic "Premiere Pro has encountered an error and must close), or the "faulting module" cited in the crash log.
this is a very similar issue i'm having in CS6 that i posted about. i removed all my plugins, and it's still acting up. don't really know what to do.
it seems that every time i drag files from bin to bin, or when i'm using the media bin to set poster frames, but sometimes my time line will crash on the hour. really frustrating.
here's a copy of my crash logs:
I am having the EXACT same problem since upgrading to PPCC2015. I am ALSO editing R3D files from external hard drives. I've been editing with this same configuration on the same project for more than a year without a problem - save for initial probs with Yosemite that since subsided - until upgrading.
I posted my problem here: Crashing every time upon moving multiple files on timeline since upgrading to PP CC 2015
