    Flex 2.01 -LCDS

      Hi All,
      I am learning flex and planning to do prototype to replace an existing app.

      I created a standard menubar by going through examples.
      <<?xml version="1.0"?>
      <mx:Application xmlns:mx=" http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" >
      <mx:MenuBar id="myMenuBar" labelField="@label">
      <mx:XMLList>
      <menuitem label="SecurityType >
      <menuitem label="FixedIncome" />
      <menuitem label="Equity"/>
      </menuitem>
      <menuitem label="Issuer>
      <menuitem label="Parent" />
      <menuitem label="IssuerSec"/>
      </menuitem>
      </mx:XMLList>
      </mx:MenuBar>

      I created dummy components for each menu item ( fixedincome,equity,parent,Issuersec) and each
      one has different controls ( HDivideBOX, Panel ,Tree)

      How do I attach these components to menuitems in menubar ?
      When user selects any menu item the corresponding screen/canvas etc should display on the current canvas/viewstack like Oracle Forms...

      If someone could help and post the code with an example that would be great.
      I did try with menubar itemclick event but did not work et al.

      Thanks
      Nathan
