In most cases those crashes are caused by drivers or third party plugins.

Do you have any third party plugins installed? Have you tried disabling them?

Have you installed a new printer or video card driver recently?

Chris - every once in a great while, I run into your amazing - AMAZING wealth of knowledge as I peruse the forum.  Dude, you saved me so much grief with the suggestions above.  I just went into my Photoshop CS6 folder and deleted every one of the multiple 3rd party plugins and tried to open and print a file - - - and it worked without an error and without issue.

            Thanks you - THANK YOU!!!

I must have had a plugin go rogue on me... so I am going to reload them and see how it goes.

Thanks so much for taking the time to spread your experience and end my evening with a smile.  My wife thanks you too  - - I get pretty grumpy when confronted with computer issues.  lol.

You didn't have to delete them all - just disable them and then re-enable one at a time to figure out which one was at fault. (and I'd also like to know which one caused it)

              And you're welcome.
