When I make a PDF of my ID document, I'd like to see the chapters and sections as bookmarks. When I try to add a bookmark structure (I'm not sure what that's called in English; I have the German version of ID CS5.5), I don't see by print styles Titel1..Titel3.
It would be even nicer if the bookmarks were generated automagically; is that too much to ask? I'm not an expert with ID.
@greyowl7 – you could do a table of contents based on your paragraph styles and check the functionality including bookmarks there. Do the table of contents in a separate text frame aside from the main text thread. It could be positioned on the pasteboard, if you don't want it visible…
See the following screen shots:
1. Layout / Inhaltsverzeichnis…
2. PDF Export (just an example. Do not use that particular PDF preset).
Note the table of contents (TOC) at the pasteboard of spread 1.
3. The bookmarks based on the TOC that is based on the paragraph styles in the exported PDF:
Thanks very much, Uwe. I now have it working correctly.
