Are you saying your trial expired but you liked CC so you are now subscribing? Or are you saying you went back to CS6 or another previous version.
What plugins are they?
Did they work on the before on that build before you tried CC?
I am just wondering if you are only allowed to use them once thats all, which in itself is a little wierd.
Usually when people have plugin issues its to do with 32 / 64 bit ones, as they don't interplay with each other. Eg you trialled a 32bit bit cc and used the 32bit plugins, but actually subscribed to 64bit cc
When you say tech support is useless, are you reffering to the plugin tech support or Adobe? Assuming you mean adobe did you try the plugin supplier?
I did a CC trial and when it ran out, I subscribed. I did the trial on the same machine (Macbook Pro) that I am using now.
The plugins are Alien Skin Exposure 5, Bokeh, Snap Art, and Blow Up. I also have Portrait Professional. All of these are compatible according to the respective companies. I have licences for them all, and they all worked when I did the CC trial. Once I updated CC, they stopped working. I've tried wiping and re-downloading everything, to no avail. I've also tried the custom install. I tried Tech support chat and also via phone. They were very unhelpful. I am wondering if I made a mistake subscribing since the CC customer service has been basically non-existent.
The plugin suppliers have had great customer support, but it seems to be something on Adobes end.
Now you mentioned its a Mac alas i cannot offer avenues to look into. Had you said it was windows, i would have suggested looking into explorer and checking the plugins are where they are supposed to be. PS should see them if they in the right folder. Wether they work or not is a different matter, at least they would be listed.
Of course you will have a similiar system there to check the files are in the right folder, program files . abobe > adobe photoshop (version) > plugins in my case
Thanks for your help. Does anyone else have any ideas about this?
Do any of the plug-ins launch or is it just the Alien Skin plug-ins? Can you try uninstalling the Portrait Professional plug-in only, and see if the Alien Skin plug-ins launch?
