I can't install flash player - 'insufficient administrator privileges'

~Windows 7 home premium service pack 1. 32 bit,

~Browser IE 10.0.9200.16660

~Have administrator privileges.

Try the following: download the offline installer from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#main-pars_hea... and save it to disk.  Close all browser windows, then navigate to your downloaded installer, right-click on it and select Run as Administrator.

If that still fails, please post the contents of the FlashInstall.log file from C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash

A required file (C:\windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\activex.vch::5) could not be written due to insufficient permissions.

Ah - all clear!  Perform a clean install: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/928315

Make sure all files are deleted from that folder before you reinstall.
