Where are you storing this event? compositionReady, inside the symbol, or elsewhere?
If you upload a .zip of your project and post the link I can check it out.
Bonus points for uploading a simplified case
Thanks for the upload! Found the problem:
Since you added the code to the "play" action of the timeline, clicking the play(100); action resets the timeline. The workaround is simple though, just added the code to the compositionReady event of your project. Uploaded your fixed example here http://sarahjustine.com/downloads/userhelp/var_reset_sahunt.zip
Life can be so easy with just a little help... You're my hero, it works like a charm - thank you so much!
So a few days later I got myself the next challenge! Same scenario, i have two buttons - I click on one of them and a counter Textfield goes ++
But now, my goal is that the value of the variable (eg var counter) is saved to a mysql db when i click on another button. Is there an Edge Animate style to do this?
I thought of using .html for making a .php insert, but I'm not sure if thats the best way - also i didn't get it to work by now
Did someone maybe have a similar problem?
