Try saving the article as a png or jpg, I've got a terrible memory, but the white flash is a common problem and I think it's an Indesign problem than an EA issue, but also check the EA forum too

But if i do that then the overlays will look low res on the Ipad Hd's

Well to a degree, but you can use better quality images , out line text, it's all a work around for sure, but try it, it may not work anyway!

What version is the article set to? Have you tried using an HTML file instead of an OAM package (shouldn't matter, but you never know)?

Ok So. I tried making the article pdf, jpg, and png. No change. My folio is set to v26.
The best solution I've come up with is to not have a background image in the animation. If the animation has a transparent background and transparent poster, The background image has to be a static image placed in indesign. If the animation loads the same background on top of the poster then i get the white flash or the image will appear to have a color change.
So its work around that limits the use of animations.

Ah sorry, I always have a transparent background with no poster, didn't think to mention that, again not ideal as the is always a delay before the animation starts, although OAM is quicker, BUT in my experience OAM and PDF articles do not mix well. Any way thanks for sharing your results

When I set the OAM/web content overlay to autoplay, delay of 0.125 seconds, and transparent background - the white flash doesn't occur. Folio details: PDF output, V31.
