I just updated InDesign CS6 this morning, and now whenever I zoom in using the alt-scroll wheel, the document scrolls halfway off the page and the scroll bar disables itself. It zooms in just fine, but it also scrolls and hides the bar, making it impossible to view the entire document.
I can regain my scroll bars by zooming out or in using any means other than the scroll wheel. Anyone else having this issue?
You can alternatively press the Page Down or Page Up buttons on your Keyboard to bring the scrollbars back. On the contrary this doesn't seem to be an Adobe application specific issue.
Page Up and Page Down don't do anything when this happens. Scrolling becomes completely disabled.
This only happens in InDesign.
You may have thought of this, but it's entirely possible to be a hardware issue. My scrollwheel on my mouse began to display "jumpy" scrolling/zooming, and I thought it was software-related. In a pinch, though, I plugged in another mouse and VOILA! problem solved. It seems the scroll wheels in mice can and do wear out. Hope this may help.
