Open the PDF up in Acrobat
Go to File>Properties
What information is there?
It has been produced by Adobe InDesign CS5 (7.0.3) and ethe Encoding Software is Adobe PDF Library 9.9
How are you placing the file?
Are you choosing File>Open
Or are you using FIle>Place?
Eugene, sorry, got what you mean, under Document Properties/Advanced it says...
These firekds are blank
Print Scaling: Default
Binding: Left Edge
Using file place
Can you do a File>Save As from Acrobat
Then try a File>Place in InDesign?
When opening up in Acrobat Pro 7 it says - "This file appears to use a new format that this version of Acrobat does not support. It may not open or display correctly. Adobe recommends that you upgrade to the latest version of our Acrobat products."
Have downloaded Acrobat Reader 11 and when opening it is still corrupting the file?
It looks like the bit it is corrupting is some type heading that has an embossed look to it. Opens OK in Illustrator, but views differently and corrupted in Acrobat 7 or Acrobat 11 and when placed into InDesign?
