YouTube Publish Problem in Captivate 7 (Mac)

    donalthompson

I have just bought Captivate 7 (Mac).

      I use a MacBook Pro 2.8 Ghz Intel Core i7 with 16GB 1333 Mhz DDR3 RAM.

When I first tried to publish to YouTube I seemed to be able to add my login. But now I can't. I get a blank box. And I want to change my settings. Needless to say, nothing gets publish to YouTube.

This is deeply disappointing after having forked out good money for a 'state of the art' software.

          Hi there,

          Welcome to Adobe Forums!

Is it happening on a particular project or any project?

When you hit the Publish to Youtube button, does it generate the Video? Or is it happening on the log in screen?

And everytime you publish to youtube, it will ask you to sign in, even if you have checked remember me, it will show you your youtube credentials.

          Thanks.

            Hi Varun,

Thanks for taking time to answer me.

It's happening all the time. I don't get a video generated. A grey screen flashes up and vanished. I don't get the screen with the credientials.

Can you try publishing it as .mp4 on your syetem and check whether it publishes the .mp4 on your system, (because it publishes and uploads .mp4 to the Youtube).

Also, can you tell me the resolutions that you have selected for this project (Modify > Rescale project, just check current resolution).

If it is happening on every project, even with a blank new project, then you can also reset the preferences by renaming the preferences folder of Captivate on MAC.

(Location: /Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Captivate 7 folder ) Close Captivate and Rename Adobe Captivate 7 folder.

P.S. : Global Preferences and customized settings will be lost after recreating the prefernces.

              Thanks.

This is clear case of Murphy's Law....by the time you get the doctor's appointment you feel better sort of thing. After a morning of stubborn refusal to work, now...just as I get your reply Varun...Captivate decides to play ball and shows me my YouTube login and uploads. I swear I didn't change a thing.

Thank you so much Varun for your time. I shall copy your advice anyway- just in case.

Thank you very much for confirming that it has been resolved itself.

                  Varun.
