Okay, I couldn't resist.
Catalyst 13.9 went in without a hitch. A very smooth install. It didn't require it but I rebooted anyway. It used my existing color preset without a problem, and seems to work for everything I do in Windows.
I did some system benchmarks with Passmark Performance Test and the results came out 1% better than the last benchmark I ran, with Catalyst 13.4. Not a significant difference.
I've run Photoshop through its paces and everything seems to work, with Advanced mode GPU operations and everything enabled. Everything works, as it did before. I've done some Photoshop work today with it and haven't had any glitches so far, though it's kind of soon to tell whether Catalyst 13.9 is going to be as solid, long-term, as 13.4 was.
I don't know if it's just me, but Photoshop CC 14.1.1 seems to come up a fraction of a second faster than it did. I admit it's been a while since I timed it with any accuracy, but it's starting from a non-running state now in 2.6 seconds (double-click the icon until full UI is displayed), which seems a bit quicker than before. Oil Paint, Liquify, Lighting Effects, and all the GPU accelerations seem to work great.
How's this been going for you Noel? Any updates a month in?

As far as I can tell, Catalyst 13.9 works great with Photoshop - and everything else I run. It seems very solid.
Only system reboot I've had since installing it was a Windows Update going in.
Thanks for the info about laptops, JJ.
