The way Missing Links are Displayed in InDesign

Is there a way to display images with links missing with some kind of visual warning right on screen?

Like perhaps they can be grayed out or have some other type of warning on the actual graphic box?

If you open a file with all the tabs closed and run off a print or a pdf. What you see is NOT what you get. If the images on screen were grayed out it would be a visual clue to check the links tab or the preflight.
