1. Re: Master pages not correctly importing from template
Arnis Gubins Sep 19, 2013 3:35 PM (in response to mattrsullivan)Matt,
Are the MPs not importng at all or just not being applied (to specific pages) during the import?
Are the hotspots on the MPs or the Body pages of your docs?

mattrsullivan Sep 19, 2013 3:39 PM (in response to Arnis Gubins)The issue started when adding hotspots to the mp's.
mp's are importing, but not all the elements...
The strangest part is that mp's will import into a new doc, and the old template will not import into these docs either.
I'm going to try mifwash on the docs, and if no luck, then import the docs into a new version of the template.
Truly bizarre behavior!
Any thoughts?

3. Re: Master pages not correctly importing from template
mattrsullivan Sep 19, 2013 4:58 PM (in response to Arnis Gubins)Update:
mifwash of all files had no effect (but I did manage to install the BookMifWash DLL on my system, so that's kinda cool)
If I import (Copy into document) the old files into a new doc with the proper formats, everything is working properly.
Bottom line: I knew the files were a bit krufty when I inherited them, so perhaps pouring the content through a strainer like this isn't such a bad idea.
Finally: Is there a utility that will speed the process of importing the content into new documents?? Or should I just eat the 2 hours it'll likely take to do this?

4. Re: Master pages not correctly importing from template
mattrsullivan Sep 19, 2013 5:04 PM (in response to mattrsullivan)OK, now I'm just irritated (but in a good way...)
I just used Rick Quatro's excellent ImportFormatsSpecial plugin instead of the standard Import Formats, and it worked like a charm.
Yet one more testimonial for Rick, and his fantastic work!
