Hey guys I'm having some issues with Photoshop and some other Adobe programs (After Effects, Premiere). These programs are on version CS6 and work fine until maybe 10-20 minutes later it freezes the whole computer. I can't move anything, it just freezes. It's only with Adobe programs, that's why I'm here.
If the whole computer freezes, you're looking at OS, hardware, or low level driver problems.
The most common cause is bad RAM. But we've also seen it caused by bad motherboards, CPUs, GPUs, and power supplies.
Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere share very little code.
So what you're saying is that programs that move a lot of memory and use the GPU extensively are causing the machine to freeze.
That still means it could be the RAM, CPU, motherboard, or GPU.
Yeah, I did a ram check on my computer and one stick was bad. Gonna get that replaced! Thanks!
Software based RAM checks usually only catch the worst (and most obvious problems).
But it caught a bad stick - so that's a good place to start!
