    HTML5 video in Edge does Not loop. . . ?

    RavenDesign Level 1

      Ok so I Know for a fact my code is 100% correct (I've tested it in a html doc on its own on it loops in that)

      For some reason when applied to edge the loop function doesn't work how ever autoplay and mute functions do work....

      I can't understand this So my question is....Is there a work around?

      Code:

      var container = sym.$('#Stage_myVideo');

      var Video = ' <video preload="auto" loop="true"  autoplay="true" muted="true" volume="0" width="100%" height="auto"> <source src="Sky.webm" type="video/webm"><source src="Sky.ogg" type="video/ogg"><source  src="Sky.mp4" type="video/mp4">Your browser does not support the video tag.</video> '

      container.html(Video);

      So yeah what happens is instead of looping like the code tells the video to do it just simple stops at 16 seconds (the video is 16 seconds) so it stops at the end and doesn't loop, any idea's?

          container.html(Video);

          $("#Stage_Iframe_video1").bind("ended", function() {

             $('#Stage_Iframe_video1').get(0).play()

          });

            I am no expert. Here is what has worked for me. Just keep in mind that Elaine F from Adobe is the expert, listen to her.

            2 items:

            1. Are you trying it inside of Edge Animate - using Ctrl+Enter to play it while inside of Edge Animate?? If yes, it will NOT loop from my experience. try posting to a web server and navigating to your page served by your web server.

            2. These 2 lines (see below) worked for me. I used them in a trigger

            var v1 = sym.$("videoholder");

            v1.html('<video width= "720" height="90" src = "video/videoname.mp4" poster = "images/image.png" type = "video/mp4" autoplay = "autoplay" loop = "loop" controls = "controls" </video>');

            Good luck

              It does not alwase autoplay in preview mode in the browser chrome (security), open the html file itself and try it there.
