Flash Player on Windows 8

I have windows 8, when I try to stream videos or play games  it says that I need to install the updated version. However when I try to do that your website says that I already have it. I go through all of the steps on the website and I still cannot get it to work. How do I get Flash Player to work on Internet Explorer?

Flash Player is already preinstalled on IE10 on Windows 8; make sure that the Shockwave Flash add-on is enabled, and ActiveX Filter is disabled.  See http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-8.html
