Indesign CC (9.1) crashes when adding a custom color to a hyperlink to URL, is there a fix?

    Lumogenesis

I am running Indesign CC on Windows 7 x64.

The issue presents when I am attempting to add a hyperlink to a graphic object (a social media icon). I can add the hyperlink without incident but I with to alter the hyperlink's appearance with a custom colour.

I start, of course, by opening the add a hyperlink dialogue:

      AddHL1.jpg

It doesn't make a difference whether I add the URL or not at this stage. Down in the Appearance section I change the type to visible rectangle, then drop donw the color selection list and choose 'Custom…'

      AddHL2.jpg

Selecting any of the custom color slots I specify the RGB values for the color I want to use,

      AddHL3.jpg

click 'Add to Custom Colors' and click OK.

      AddHL4.jpg

Instead of my brand compliant yellow, I get a grey box instead. So I drop down the color selection list again, click 'Custom…' and Indesign has a meltdown.

I have replicated this bug on many occasions and the only thing that seems to avoid the crash so far is if, after clicking 'Add to Custom Colors' you select another custom color slot, and then re-select the custom color you just created.

Here is the crash dump from Windows for this error:

Hopefully I'm not the only one experiencing this, or there is an explanation that can be used to fix it.
