    Photoshop 7 and raw files

I have a Canon 30D and Photoshop 7.  I would like to process raw photos but don't know how to do it.  PS 7 says it's an unreadable format.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

I'm afraid you will either have to use the DPP software that came with your camera to do your raw processing and then save TIF images from that software. Then you can open those TIF images in Photoshop 7. The other alternative would be to find a freestanding raw processor and do the same process. Adding Lightroom to your workflow would work. If you do your raw processing in Lightroom, and then use Photoshop 7 as your external editor.

There is no raw plug-in for Photoshop 7. I understand there was something available at one time that supported a few cameras. But there's nothing I am aware of that you can add to Photoshop 7 that would enable you to work on your raw files.
