    Timeline plays in Safari but not on iPad viewer

      Hi everyone,

      I have created a small animation where some JS code loops in CompositionReady and an image sequence in the actual timeline. Worked fine until a few days ago and I can't seem to find what I have changed so that it's not running anymore. I have updated my iPad to iOS7 and everything else is up to date as well.

      The animation plays fine in Safari, but when I upload it to the iPad through the Viewer, only the JS bit plays, the actual animation in the timeline doesn't. I have enabled Autoplay in both Edge and ID (CC) with no avail.

      If I remove the JS code, the animation plays. The strange thing is, it did run before.

      Here is the code:

      //curtain is a top layer black rectangle

      sym.$("Curtain").fadeOut(2000);

      //some text images that are supposed to fade in after 4 seconds

      fader("Story1Title_GLOW",4000);

      fader("Story1Title",4000);

      fader("Story1Year",4000);

      //not sure if the fade in can be coded better

      function fader(myObject,myTime)

      {

      sym.$(myObject).css({opacity:0});

      sym.$(myObject).animate({opacity:0.01},myTime);

      sym.$(myObject).animate({opacity:1},500);

      }

      flicker();

      function flicker()

      {

      var rand=Math.random();

      var time=(1-rand)*500;

      sym.$("Mask").animate({opacity:rand*0.5},time+100);

      var time=rand*80;

      sym.$("Story1Title_GLOW").animate({opacity:rand},time+15);

      setTimeout(flicker, 10);

      }

      Thanks!

      Frank
