Adobe offline help (CS6) does not open/update/manage PDFs

    Doc Maik Level 4

I can open the Adobe Help manager, and in the local files list it shows some documents with PDF icons, which seem to be downloaded and ready to use.

But, I can't neither open them from the list, nor update, nor delete. All buttons greyed out. The status of some is set as "unavailable".

Like if the help manager "thinks" they're present, but they aren't or at least not at the expected location.

When switching Adobe Help to use only local files and then using F1 in Indesign, it says the "Adobe Help viewer" is not installed.

This one did not help: http://helpx.adobe.com/de/creative-suite/kb/help-application-doesnt-update.html

This one also did not help: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1015992

      Any other clue?

      TIA
