1. Re: Transferring Sequences from Premiere CC to AME CC takes FOREVER!
JSS1138 Sep 25, 2013 7:32 PM (in response to Whishaw)I always send from PP, rather than pull in from PP. Happens petty quick.

2. Re: Transferring Sequences from Premiere CC to AME CC takes FOREVER!
Whishaw Sep 26, 2013 10:15 AM (in response to JSS1138)Not sure what the difference between the two are. I can either drag a bunch of sequences or I can que them from the export dialogue. Both take a very long time. I also tried to import from the AME interface but remarkably you can only select one sequence at a time.

3. Re: Transferring Sequences from Premiere CC to AME CC takes FOREVER!
Whishaw Sep 27, 2013 5:37 PM (in response to Whishaw)For me this is the biggest time suck and dissapointment in CC. So many cool new features and it's getting slicker every day but the exact same media and files and sequences that loaded in seconds in CS6 takes an unnacceptably long time.
What is different in CC that this feature works (or does not work) so terribly? It's extremely frustrating. I've got a project with hundreds of sequences that I export 20 to 30 at a time. 30 seconds for each sequence and that's up to or over 15 minutes just for them to load into AME.
PLEASE Adode fix this problem or tell me what I'm doing wrong. My system is below. Again, exact same procedure in CS6 was LIGHTNING fast. Good thing I have so much time to hanf out on these forums while I wait for things to load into AME.

Paul Whishaw Oct 17, 2013 5:29 PM (in response to Whishaw)This is very puzzeling as it seem it is just my computer that is having this problem. I am also having huge problems expoting OMFs from Premiere. For a file that literally takes 6 seconds in FCP takes very long in Premiere. I can't say how long as I cancelled the process after 10 minutes and the progress bar had only made it to 10%. Really could use some help or suggestions from anyone.
Hello Adobe?

5. Re: Transferring Sequences from Premiere CC to AME CC takes FOREVER!
davidweisenbarger Oct 19, 2013 3:21 AM (in response to Paul Whishaw)No, its not just you! Ive also got a super high end system and today needed to re-render out a bunch of sequences, replacing the intro and out, simple stuff. When I drag the 120 sequences over to AME with the proper destination folder and preset already defined correctly, the thing sits and then crashes, every time. I can do about 20 at a time, but every one of those takes much too long to load up into AME. Using the ctrl-m dialog makes a single sequence queue up faster once I click the queue button, but that only proves that something is wrong with the drag and drop, as there is obviously a serious TIME SAVER when I need to export a bunch of sequences at once.
Adobe, IF you cant fix the drag and drop, then add the ability to select multiple sequences in project, and then export movie and apply the settings in the dialog to all, gray out the export now button if you have to so only queue is possible with batch...
Paul, submit a real bug report using their system if you have time, its what Im always told in the end.
Lets get this memory issue sorted out in the batch export sequence to AME FIXED tomorrow!

Paul Whishaw Oct 29, 2013 4:02 PM (in response to davidweisenbarger)I've submitted a bug report. Funny thing is on other bug reports Adobe has emailed me back very quickly. On this issue all I hear is crickets. And only 20 people in front of me in the online support!

thnord Oct 29, 2013 4:35 PM (in response to Paul Whishaw)Please don't take it personally. We're all heads down working very hard to get this next update out to you guys and it has slowed our ability to be as responsive in the forums as we'd like to be.
To your issue, I would like to have you try this again in the update once it is released. We've made a bunch of changes to this area. I'll try to see if I can get a system that reproduces your original issue and test it against the update myself as well.

8. Re: Transferring Sequences from Premiere CC to AME CC takes FOREVER!
Paul Whishaw Oct 30, 2013 11:16 AM (in response to thnord)Update didn't help. I tried this on a friend's rig and it behaved in the same manner. Would love to sort this out. If I have 20 sequences I can literally export each one individually before even half of them are loaded into AME. So strange that this was almost instantaneous in 6.5.
It's weird also that recently Premiere is crashing every time I shut the application.
