    Cerificate problem

    GregoriusIII

      Hi,

I'm experincing a strange problem when I try to export my app as an Air application. I had to get a new codesigning certificate from Verisign because my old one expired. When I changed certificate the problems started. When I export the Application everything seems to work but when on a fresh computer the file the publisher shows up as unknown. When I try to install the app on a computer that has the app already installed (upgrade) I get an error message telling me that the file is corrupt. The log from the install look like this:

9/27/13 11:02:29.248 AM Adobe AIR Application Installer[1407]: Application Installer begin with version 3.7.0.2100 on Mac OS 10.8.5 x86

9/27/13 11:02:35.897 AM Adobe AIR Application Installer[1407]: Application Installer end with exit code 7

This log does not really seem related to the signing issue. But it might be related to te fact that the app used to be signed and now is not.

I have also tried to export the file to airi fromat and manually signed the package. It seems to work but the thr result is the same. The command I used to sign id:

      adt -package -storetype pkcs12 -keystore ./Docs/Cert/test.pfx test.air test.airi

Hopefully somone knows whats going on.

      Best

      Greg

The problem was that the root certificate was not set to allow timestamping. I got no sign that this was the case when I tried to sign my apk. As soon as I changed the settings for the root certificate the signing worked as expected.

The install issue still exists so someone might have anything to add there?
