I'm having an issue opening a project i've been working on. I working on a MacBook OSX 10.8.5 with Premiere CS6. I can move the files and open it on my windows desktop with no problem, it's only the MacBook that has a problem. When I try to open it it comes up with box that says "The scratch disk is write protected or unavailable. To open this project the scratch disk will be set to your documents folder. Would you like to continue?". When I click yes another box comes up and says "This project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview preset or codec could be associated with this sequence type." I've tried changing the scratch disk to the location where they are actually saved. I have also started a new project on the Windows computer and copied the sequence then moved to the Mac but I can't get it working. Any Ideas how to fix this?
Thanks in advance.
I've got exactly the same issue on a Mac Pro running 10.8.4 and PP CC. Help Adobe!
If the project was created on one computer and copied to the one that cannot open it, then the most likely culprit is that the first system has some codec(s) installed--and used in the project--which are not installed on the second computer.
If you're working entirely on one computer, then please consult this knowledge base article: http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/kb/missing-sequence-presets.html
