Is the part of the image still intact at the top or the left of the screen? If the top, it sounds like those JPGs might be corrupted. That would be especially true if there are patterns under the good part of the image like this
Will these JPGs open in any other application or viewer? BTW I got the above image by Google with 'Corrupt JPG'. Give it a try to see other examples
Thanks for the quick reply. The image is truncated on the left and bottom. The right side and top are intact. It is like the image has been cropped left and bottom. The file does not appear corrupt and can be opened properly using both MicroSoft and Nikon photo software. This does not happen with all JPG files, just a few of them.
If you use Nikon NX1 to import images, there are some incompatability with this. Use NX2 as error corrected.
