I have created several effects presets in Premiere Pro CC. Many of them are from previous projects that are now complete. I don't want to delete them because if a client comes back and wants to work on the project further, I don't want to lose the settings I worked so hard to create.
The problem is that having all these presets feels VERY unorganized to me. I don't seem to be able to move them around or change the order of them.
What can I do to make sure I can retrieve them when needed but not have such a messy preset list?
rightclick on the preset folder in your effect panel and select "export presets" lets you choose a place to save the presets. Before deleting them you might try to import them on another machine, just to be sure the export was done right.
A useful idea to get a more organized feel could also be to create a custom folder (right click somewhere in the effect panel) and drag all the relevant filter presets there.
Thank you. That works! One additional comment for future users that run into this problem. When I try to right click on the basic Preset folder in Premiere, it will not allow me to export. That is greyed out. However, when I right click and create a new presets folder (custom), I can do exact what you said with no problem.
