Flash 6.0 r25 has stopped working...

I purchased the Macromedia  Suite a few years ago and today I installed everything on a new laptop, but when I try to open Flash I get a message stating...

"Flash 6.0 r25 has stopped working"

I am given two options

1. Check online for a solution and close the program

2. Close the program

The problem details are listed as...

The probability of being able to use Flash 6 on a new operating system is likely next to zero.  If you can find an ancient machine (An XP system should work) you might stand a better chance of getting it working.

Thank you for the reply. I actually stumbled upon a solution myself and want to make this information available to any other poor boys like me. I found a Troubleshoot Compatibility option in a Program Data Options Window. When I ran the troubleshooter, it indicated that my current Windows program had a color issue and needed to revert to a color option of a prior Windows version. It made mention of Windows XP Service Pack 2. It said that it would run Flash 6.0 on the older colors and return to Aero when I closed the program. I hope this helps somebody in the future,
