Ashutosh.Nigam Oct 7, 2013 9:33 PM (in response to Max-E)Max,
You are already having Br CC 64 bit on your system.
As per the screenshot, Adobe Br CC 6.0.1.6 (x64) which is for 64 bit is present on your system.
if you want to change any file type association then right click on it and choose open with Br CC.
Regards,
Ashutosh

Curt Y Oct 8, 2013 7:49 AM (in response to Max-E)You can only have one version of Bridge open at any one time. So if you have CS6 open or running the in the background Bridge CC will not open. Click on Task Manager and in Processes tab look for Bridge.exe to see if it is running.

Curt Y Oct 8, 2013 9:13 AM (in response to Max-E)If CC is not showing up on Open With list you can add. Go to File Type Association, click on browse, then naviagate to Bridge CC.exe in programs and choose.

10. Re: open with Adobe Bride CC
Jim Kelowna Oct 8, 2013 10:37 AM (in response to Curt Y)I am also having the same problem as Max, but I have not been able to solve it yet.
Product - Adobe Brindge CC - v 6.0.1.6 x64
Windows 7 Pro SP1 on 64bit Intel i7
When I try to change file associations in Windows Explorer, Adobe Bridge CS5 shows up in list, but Adobe Bridge CC does NOT. When I browse and search for and pick Bridge.exe from Programs\Adobe\Adobe Bridge CC\, it does NOT take effect. When I click on a JPG, it still opens with Bridge CS5. And when I right click again on the association in Explorer, it shows Adobe Bridge CS5.
There is no version of CS5 running on my system, although it is installed, and I can open it when I wish. Under task manager, it does not appear under Programs, Service or Processes. But could it be possible that there is only one Bridge.exe that is registered to Windows???
(When I change the association in Bridge CC preferences, it has no effect on what opens from Explorer.)
Short of uninstalling Bridge CS5, do you have any suggestions?
Jim
ps - I have searched around in Regedit, but not found anything useful ...

12. Re: open with Adobe Bride CC
Jim Kelowna Oct 8, 2013 10:59 AM (in response to Jim Kelowna)OK, I did figure how to solve it. It was a registry problem. The following key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\Bridge.exe\shell\open\command
had a value pointing to Bridge CS5. Whenever I changed the file type association to Adobe Bridge CC version of Bridge.exe, the file type association would change to Adobe Bridge CS5.
I changed the default value in the key above to:
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Bridge CC (64 Bit)\Bridge.exe" "%1"
Now Adobe Bridge CC stays in the file type association list when picked as a default. And my jpg's open with Bridge CC as desired.
