Hmmm. Maybe flash also works in mysterious ways, lol.
Try the code below instead.
Also double check that your font colour for the text field is not the same as your background color. That may be the cause of the 'invisible' text.
Thanks that helps with the "NaN"
but the text was still "invisible"
checked color etc,
found out that it was because it was bolded...?
don't know why it was doing that...
what should i type in if i want milliseconds?
tried but all i get is a 3-digit second counter...
Its difficult to say without seeing what was causing that. Often it can be related to using embedded fonts and not having the bold style embedded. But I think if memory serves correctly you don't have anything invisible to select if that is the case. It might be the font you used itself perhaps. The main point is that its working now by the sound of things. Happy New Year!
oops just saw you changed your post. I'll take another look at it
Here's the way to do it with msec.
You should make sure your frame rate is reasonably fast. Probably 30 or more.
no there's something not quite right there...stand by
Hmmm, can't figure that one out without spending more time on it. It seems as if the last digit in the msec is not changing as often asI would expect it to. I'm wondering if its got something to do with the frame rate, but don't really know I'm afraid and can't spend more time on it now.
thanks but i figured it out,
just did some trial and error..
