    Memory v. Processor

Which is more important when buying a computer: memory or the processor speed?

I know both are important, but I've heard people say that as long as your memory is good (8GB+) and your processor is decent, you'll be fine.

      Is this true?

That depends on what you are editing

An i5 with 8gig works for some video, other video may require an i7 and 16gig for "effective" editing

Plus, you need a MINimum of two 7200rpm hard drives... or SSD for Windows and programs, and a 7200rpm drive for project and video files
