I'm trying to export a sequence from PremierePro CC onto a DVD.
I exported it as an MPEG2 and burned it to a disk, but the disk does not play.
My export settings were as follows: MPEG2/NTSC DV
The sequence on the DVD will be imported onto another computer for editing so I'm just using the DVD to transport the file.
Do I need Adobe Encore to do this or can I create the DVD without it?
You created a DATA disc, not a MOVIE disc... a data disc does not play
As long as your file was written to your data disc, take it to the other computer for editing
If you want a playable disc, you must use Encore (or some other authoring software) and you will then have VOB files on the disc
The tutorial list in message #3 http://forums.adobe.com/message/2276578 may help, with more help in message #5
If the file needs to be re-edited mpeg2 is not a good choice.
DV-avi would have been better.
You can burn that as well to a dvd as data.
You can use any burn software you want. e.g. Nero.
