Hi guys. I recently had my page file set on two drives, one being the SSD. I realized this was a bad idea and changed it. Upon a reboot, my SSD appears and I'm able to edit off it for some time until it suddenly turns off and is inaccessible.
What I did:
I replaced the SATA power and data cables - Same issue
I went to device manager, "clicked Scan for hardware changes" - Does not pop up
I went to disk manager to find that it is not even listed, as if it is literally switched off or disconnected. I clicked Refresh and Rescan disks - No luck.
I put my computer to sleep, and then wake it up, to see it pop up again, until moments later when it dies again.
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
OCZ Vector 256GB SSD - about a month old
Looks like the SSD controller is getting into an indefinite loop that causes these problems. Try completely reformatting the drive., possibly on another SATA connection.
Have you checked to see if OCZ has a firmware update for that drive?
