1. Re: Paragraph & Word Count in InCopy
AnneMarie Concepcion Oct 15, 2013 9:38 AM (in response to Michael_OSP)It's actually easier and more powerful to do this in InCopy than in InDesign.
Select the text you want to count in InCopy and look at the bottom toolbar, in the middle. That's the Story Info toolbar. If you just click in a story, it'll show you a count of the story's words, characters, paragraphs, and column depth. If you make a selection, it shows you the same info for the selection.
If you're not seeing Selection info, then click on the Toolbar menu icon (far right of the toolbar and choose Customize. There you can enable the Selection count to appear.

Michael_OSP Oct 16, 2013 9:30 AM (in response to AnneMarie Concepcion)AnneMarie, thanks for pointing me in the right direction to find the option to turn on paragraph count for selections. Silly me was looking in the regular preferences without any luck.
Hope to see you at PepCon someday again but state of California employees are prevented from traveling out-of-state for training. :{(
