Designing a poster style quick start instruction guide

Hello all,

I've been tasked with creating a poster style quick start instruction guide and I am looking for some tips or examples. Besides the Ikea style, I've searched the Internet and cannot find any examples, or even others talking about this style of instruction guide.

I will really appreciate any guidance and/or URLs to point me in the right direction. It doesn't need to be InDesign specific.
