This is probably a simple one for anyone who knows indesign but i've spent the better part of two hours tryuing to work it out and no luck.
Basically i have a small text frame with a title in it but i was to make the second half of the title not show up, so it would be overset. At the moment when i drag the corner of the text frame the text/letters will condesne (width) so that it is still fits.
This is really really annoying me so if anyone knows how i can solve this i would appriciate it, sorry about the noob question.
Thanks in advance
Are you using a variable? It sounds like it.
As far as ID is concerned, a varaible is a single character and can neither wrap to a second line nor go into overset. If you are using a Running Header variable, try using the Character Style version rather than Paragraph style, and apply a character style to just the part of your chapter title you want to show. This character style should have only a name and not actually modify any text attributes.
I can't believe i missed that, i checked everything else i could think of, i knew it was something simple, thank you so
