As described in another Thread, the current work-around for the V12 "Version set problem", is to use Windows Task Manger to kill ElementsAutoAnalyzer.exe. This needs to be done after each start of the PSE V12 Organizer.
I was looking for a Windows-7 solution to avoid to kill ElementsAutoAnalyzer over and over again (aftzer each Organizer start). Since I was not able to find a more or less blessed way to do that, I decided to rename ElementsAutoAnalyzer.exe to ElementsAutoAnalyzer.exezzz. This seems to work.
But will such a rename result over the time in severe problems?
You don't have to use analysis; so there should be no problem if you don't need it.
Probably also best to uncheck all the boxes in prefs:
