What is this sprite("lbl")? Why don't you try to refer the sprite in which you have the control by its number (e.g., sprite(2)). Then make sure that the control has the function that you are trying to access (Picture). Finally make sure that your picture is in the same directory as you movie. If it is in another directory (within the directory where your movie is) you should clarify that in your code (e.g., filePath=_movie.path & "Images\Snap151.bmp".
Hope that helps
Thanks for your quick reply.
I think I didn't make these mistakes that you have mentioned. If you are interested in this question, you can download the resouce file: http://www.riafan.com/ActiveX.rar
I can display a picture by the Microsoft Web Browser control, but the sprite will be always displayed undered other ActiveX controls,no mather how high the sprite channel is.
I tried your file but i don't think i can find a way to make it work. Why don't you try to change the filename of a castmember (i think it is easier)
wgb14 ,thank for your time and advice.I want to try MIAWs,it does works, but it's more difficult. I still hope it can work by a Active Control.
Can you explain why you are trying to use an AX control to do something
Director is more than capable of doing natively?
we are developping a emulational courseware about switch. Because the teching software was developped with VB, there are many Forms(DataGrid,Combox...).Of course It's easier to develop the courseware with VB than with Director, but half a part of the project has been finished with Director, and my colleagues don't know VB.So we have decided used Director+ActiveX.\,thus the UI is more emulational and code is easier for them.
I hope the next vision of Direcor can be added two more functions
1. custom the styles and skins of the flash components;
2. support more ActiveX by a visual way
after six years waiting your expectations not fulfilled
take my condolences
Adobe is the Best of the world !!!
After 6 years waiting the original poster was probably not awaiting your helpful response!
If you're just going to troll through old threads looking to complain about what has or hasn't been done, perhaps you could find a more constructive use of your time.
what do you want to say? and why you are worring about my time?
do you have some "custom styles and skins of the flash components" or "support for more ActiveX" ?
I'm not troll, it's only useful critique
my time is only my time, not any .... don't worry and be happy
